The hinge works well and the locket snaps firmly shut and stays shut. The interior is very nice with original red foil style paper, retaining rings and clear film. The locket is approx 7/8" high not including the bale. It is on the original gold filled chain that has a thumbless catch. It's in nice condition and very pretty!
