Description: I have here for sale a book entitled THE WONDERLAND OF THE ANTIPODES; and other Sketches of Travel in the North Island of New Zealand by J ERNEST TINNE With Map and Numerous Illustrations by the Autotpye Process published by Sampson Low, Marston, Low, and Searle, London, in 1873. First edition. Here we have a comprehensive account of the beauties of North Island, New Zealand, together with the life of the inhabitants. The book includes a fold-out Map of North Island, and 14 full-page b/w plates. Blue cloth pictorial boards with gilt lettering on the front board and spine. Minor marks on the boards with rubbing to the corners, fading and fraying to the spine. Slight yellowing to pages with minor marks on some. The binding is a little loose but all pages are firm and the book is in very good condition. 124 pages. 25.5 x 18 cm.We have over 2000 items in our Ebay shop on a range of subjects, so please feel free to have a browse and see if anything else takes your fancy.Postage will be by Air Mail outside of UK.
