These stamps were issued as an Introductory Pack for a mail-order subscription series for the compete collection of Great Sporting Events stamps. The stamps are 100% Genuine and issued as GB "Locals". The stamps were issued with the full authorisation of the Football Association and the depicted football clubs. N.B. With these packs, we will also include the £5 Sir Stanley Matthews Stamp (issued as part of the accompanying Football Association Hall of Fame series). TOTAL FACE VALUE (Original Purchase Price) was £13.90!!! PLEASE NOTE: The stamps are not valid for postage in mainland Britain unless the Royal Mail postage stamps are also applied. They were issued offshore and were only valid for delivery to the mainland Post Office, at which point the Royal Mail took responsibility for delivery.
