Description: Own a piece of history -- simply wonderful antique treadle sewing machine that has never been electrified and stayed within the same family. Helping to sell this for an adjacent family member. It has been in their family since its purchase in 1903. The family wedding dresses were sewn on it. Needless to say, every other article of clothing as well! The belt that operates the treadle/hand-wheel has been replaced (our sewing expert says it's not tight enough). The leather strap that lifts up the machine has also been replaced. Please note images that show the workings of the lid pulling up the machine. Stunning carving on the case. Includes the original manual and attachments! Please note the damage to the top of the quarter-sewn oak with the presence of a water mark, which is definitely repairable.
