Description: This antique stoneware pottery piece is a beautiful addition to any collection. Measuring at 14 1/2 inches high, it features a unique greyish blue and light brown color palette, with American Primitive style and design. The piece is signed by Daniel Goodale and hails from Hartford, Connecticut, dating back to the early 1800s. The jug has a 5 3/4 inches diameter base and is 10 inches across at its widest point with a reeded neck. The capacity is not marked, but the container looks like it will hold about two gallons. Please note that this item is not suitable for food or beverage storage. Use this piece for decorative purposes only. This jug is in as is condition with a small chip in the middle of the belly and hairline cracks also in that area. There is a flake on the base of the jug, but it must be original since it is glazed over. There does not appear to be any restoration on the jug and the rest of the piece is solid with a sturdy strap handle. This item will be double boxed for shipping. Please see the photos for more details and check out the other listings in my eBay store.
