Description: Antique White Ironstone Tea Pot Wheat Pattern Ceres Elsmore & Forster England Description: This extremely charming English White Ironstone Tea Pot from the 19th century in the Ceres shape, wheat pattern is a popular choice among collectors. This stands 10 inches tall, decorated and trimmed with a wheat and rope pattern on a fluted body with a clear glaze. It bears the black printed Elsmore & Forster with the Royal Arms Hallmark along with the raised Diamond Registry mark. There is also an impressed “25”on the foot. Circa: 1859-1871 Care: Hand Wash Only Dimensions: Height: 10” (with lid to top of finial) Handle to Spout: 9 1/2” Round Footed Base: 4 ¾” Capacity: 6 cups Product Weight: 2 pounds 3 ounces Primary Colors: White Primary Material: Ironstone Markings: Elsmore & Forster (with the black printed mark with the Royal Arms Hallmark). It also bears the embossed, Diamond Registry mark (as shown). “25” on base. Origin: Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, England Condition: Previously owned - used. Very good to excellent condition. No cracks or crazing. Spout is without flaws or damage. Lid has a few tiny flea bites on edge (see photo, please). One place inside teapot has staining around a single spot; I could not feel any chip or raised spot. Handle is perfect. Rim where lid rests has a few flea bites, one which initially I thought was a repaired one, but it appears to be an original flaw (please see photos). Beautiful and shiny appearance.
