Description: Here is a used HO gauge Amtrak F-40PH diesel locomotive, carrying the road number 229 and made by Life Like. COSMETICALLY the engine is fine. But when I bench tested it, IT DID NOTHING WHATSOEVER. I'm not going to fool with it, as I have never had much success fixing HO engines. Perhaps you can get it running again, perhaps it is just a parts piece or something to put on the siding on the layout. Photos show the engine from all 6 sides, with a yardstick in the shots for size reference.
