The title page lacks any attribution of this work to the English original by Pritts. This edition has no plates and may be missing a frontispiece. A scarce copy of Pennsylvania German adaptation of the book published by Pritts in 1841 on the border wars and conflicts between the Indians and white settlers along the expanding frontiers of the United States Pritts who lived in Chambersburg, PA died in 1848; his book was originally published in Lancaster in 1841.
