Dating from between 1880 to 1920, this kind were not produced in India, but were handmade in the traditional glass factories of Germany.Indians can have a delicate clear, tinted or coloured base glass, although some have an opaque 'maglite' appearance that only admits light from a powerful backlit source.The exterior design is rendered in using attractive textures and opaque colours; from the application of ground coloured glass lines to the surface: the hallmark of such marbles.
