Omega Race bundle working PCB power supply manual marquee brackets AG converter

Description: Up for auction is an Omega Race by Midway (Bally) from 1981. Offering a whole bundle of parts. Are you deconverting a converted game? This is the package for you! Detailed description of each item included: OMEGA RACE MOTHER BOARD: A084-90007-H929 A080-90007-H929. This is the Omega Race main board. This is the main item of this whole bundle. This is the board that is famous for the battery acid leakage damage. This PCB has been thoroughly cleaned and is in excellent cosmetic condition. After the initial cleaning, it was cleaned three additional times with three different acid neutralizing chemicals to stop further battery acid damage. The original battery has been removed and replaced with a lithium battery which are not normally known for leaking. There have been many soldered IC's that have now been socketed (due to the previous battery acid leakage damage). The original battery was a rechargeable battery. Rechargeable batteries have a tendency to leak. The original battery was replaced with a non-rechargeable battery and a resistor was changed to a diode to defeat the recharging circuit. The edge connector on this PCB is in fair condition. PLEASE REVIEW THE EDGE CONNECTOR PICTURE CAREFULL SO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WILL BE GETTING. The solder side of the edge connector is very good. Complete and no burnt pins. The parts side has no burnt pins, but some of the edge fingers have minor decay. If reasonable care is used when putting on the edge connector, there should be no issues. OMEGA RACE DAUGHTER BOARD: A084-91372-G929 A080-91372-G929. The Omega Race daughter board is working 100%. Both sides of the edge connector are in excellent condition. No burnt pins or other damage at all. There is no corrosion on any of the connector pins either and no bent pins, all are in great condition. On a quick & cursory review, I do see some prior repairs on this board as there is fresh solder on one component indicating it was replaced. Note this board has not been recapped nor had cleaning. It is a very clean board, and no additional cleaning was needed. POWER SUPPLY BOARD: Linear Power Supply A082-90413-D000, A080-90413-D000. This is the proper OEM Midway power supply for Omega Race. This PCB has been thoroughly cleaned and is in excellent cosmetic condition. It has been fully recapped. The +5 VDC and +12 VDC adjustment pots are working perfectly. MANUAL: Midway's Omega Race Parts And Operating Manual, Game Nos. 929, 930, 931, & 894, form No., 0929-00300-0000. This item is complete, no missing pages, in a spiral bound book. Includes schematics. This item is in very good condition, but it was a shop manual and there are a few (not many) hand written notes on a few of the pages. ENCODER BOARD: A/G CONVERTER P.C. A082-91411 A000 A080-91411A000. This is an encoder board that I believe it used for the spinner on the control panel. This PCB has been thoroughly cleaned and is in excellent cosmetic condition. This item has been repaired and is fully working. NOTE: THIS BOARD WAS ONLY BENCH TESTED. My test set up is not equipped to test this board. However on the bench test, it was producing the proper codes. MARQUEE: ONLY ONE MARQUEE IS INCLUDED! Two marquees are pictured. You have your choice of the flat one for the upright or the three sided one for the mini. They have been cleaned and are both are in very good condition. To meet ebay shipping standards, I need to ship this package within 24 hours of payment. PLEASE SPECIFIY WHICH MARQUEE YOU WANT. If I don't hear from you, you will get the three sided marquee for the mini cabinet by default. GAME BOARD PCB BRACKETS: A matching pair of original PCB brackets, along with the needed 8 screws are included. They have been cleaned and are in excellent condition. In November 2024, this PCB completed a 9-hour continuous-on test and a 9-hour turned on & off several times test, with games played along the way along with self-tests. All self-tests, sounds, controls, dip-switches, etc., worked perfectly.NOTE ON TESTING: Since Omega Race board have a tendency to be flaky due to the battery acid leakage damage, during the testing, I did many tap tests (taping components to see if any troubles surfaced) and flex tests (minor flexing of the board to see if any trouble surfaces) and no issues at all were identified. This boardset ran rock solid and steady the whole time. No jittery vectors.DISCLOSURE & NOTE ON TESTING: I had a professional repair person help me with the repair of this PCB. He tested this in his Omega Race cabinet, and he told me that everything worked fine. He stated the high-score-save and operator statistics chip and associated circuit is working perfectly. I was testing on a test bench and in my test set up, the high score save and operator statistics DID NOT save once the game was turned off. Since I didn't see this work myself, I MAKE NO PROMISE THAT THE HIGH SCORE AND OPERATOR STATISTICS CIRCUIT IS WORKING. It might, it might not. Assume it doesn't work, and if it does, that will be a bonus for you. All sales are final, no returns. Be sure to check voltages before installing. Bad voltages may damage the board. I am not responsible if the PCB is installed incorrectly or in a set-up with incorrect voltages. The PCB will be tested one more time before packing and shipping. When it leaves my hands, it will be a 100% working board (except for possibly the high score & operator statistics circuit). What you see in the pictures is what you will get.
