Description: Rare item(s) up for sale! A vintage (1993) set of 15 Russian nesting dolls. Only 20 sets made by this particular artist (paperwork included, and signature on bottom) for the 850th anniversary of the founding of Moscow. The Russian dolls are made from solid wood, and are hand painted, including painted 24 karat gold. The largest and outermost doll is slightly faded relative to the others, from 30yrs of being exposed to light, but the paint on the remaining inner dolls are still extremely vibrant. No other issues. Overall, a beautiful set for sure, and displays quite nicely, especially if you do display the entire set all at once. The largest doll measures 9.5" high x 5" wide.
