Description: RARE ANTIQUE VINTAGE MURPHY TOOLED LACED LEATHER HOLSTER FOR COLT 1903 OR SAVAGE 1907. Offered for your consideration, an historic, antique vintage tooled LACED leather flap holster for the Colt 1903 or Savage 1907 with embossed "Murphy" on the snap.Murphy Maker antique flap holster. Intricately tooled in a unique fanciful design, the tapered body of this right hand specimen is finely laced with rawhide - what H.H. Heiser called a hand thong stitched edge. Fashioned of a medium weight skirting stock, the piece has a full flap which does not close completely on the 1903 Colt (may close on the Savage), a working snap and sewn on belt loop on the back that will accommodate a 2" wide belt.Holster is in excellent condition for its age with some crazing present on flap top. Due to the age of this item it might be considered for display only. Old Colt 1908 .380 model shown for demonstration of fit and not included in the sale.
