Description: RARE VINTAGE DOLL DISPLAY (One Of A Kind) This doll collection is not intended for children to play with(of course when you own them you may do as you like)“HOWEVER,I THINK THAT THEY ARE INTENDED FOR ADULT DISPLAY PURPOSES ” "Enjoy these dolls in your home, or present them as a gift for someone special" This is a private sale from my mothers estate, a smoke free / pet free environment. She always displayed these three dolls on her bedroom dresser where they were always admired. I don’t know exactly what year they were acquired, or who manufactured them, but I do know that I have never seen any dolls quite like these. They have beautiful faces, made of vintage porcelain and express authentic historical times. Their expressions, clothing, and character remind me of Norman Rockwell’s paintings of every day life, capturing the spirit of small-town America. I am now 81 years old and would like these dolls to have a new home where they will be appreciated. and admired. My best description of the three ornate display dolls: Doll # 1: lets call her “Elsie” pronounced like "EL see" Sitting 11” to the front brim of her hat and a 9” spread of her dress.Elsie is a very pretty farm girl with gray eyes, fine eye lashes, and blond braided hair adorned with red bow ribbons. Elsie is wearing a straw hat that’s also adorned with a red bow ribbon. She is dressed in white under-bloomers and a jean skirt with white lace trim and a white blouse with red stripes down its front, and on her cuffs. She is in the sitting position with her bare feet sticking out, and clutching her teddy bear and her rag doll. Doll # 2: lets call her “Dakota” from the Sioux Tribe. Sitting 9.5” to the top of her head and an 11” spread of her dress. Dakota is an American Indian Girl with beautiful brown eyes, fine eye lashes, and long black hair adorned with tribal feathers. Her hair is running down her back in a single braid. Dakota is wearing a belted red velvet shirt with 4 small metal leafs on each sleeve, and customary jewelry around her neck and her bare ankle. She is dressed in brown under-shorts and over it, a brown velvet skirt with zig-zag stitching with a row of decorative embellishments. Doll # 3: Let’s call her “Ginger” Sitting on a blue & yellow “Time-Out” chair Ginger measures 12.5” to the top of her head, and her feet are spread 8”. This sassy Redhead got in trouble with her mom and is now being punished. Her beautiful sparkling blue eyes have tears running down her face with her head looking downward in remorse of her wrongdoing. Dressed appropriately with an up turned hat, and her curly red locks hanging down her arms, Ginger reflects the poor side of town in which she lives. Wearing full length bloomers under the patch-work dress her mother made, and the new shoes she just got for her birthday, Ginger is authentic of the times she lives in.
