Description: The Grazia family began producing majolica ceramics in 1500. The earliest pattern, their Ricco floral design, was taken from frescoes by Perugino at the “Collegio del Cambio” in Perugia. The pattern is a revered classic, still painted entirely by hand in Deruta, Italy. Over its long history, the Grazia family has innovated many shapes such as this unusual ring vase. The four pieces may be used as oval or made smaller as a circle. Assembled as an oval with all four pieces it is 17" long: as a circle it is 10" in diameter. The ring is 2-1/2" high. I bought the set in Florence in 1965 and found it easy to use as a floral centerpiece. The center can be filled with pillar candles for nighttime effect. The four pieces are all signed and there is no damage of any kind. The condition is like new.
