The chain was originally suspended between 2 pins or between a pin and a button and worn on the chest, but this piece has been cleverly turned into a bracelet. There are some very nice medals, including the Iron Cross by Wilhelm II, a red enamel cross that I believe reads "For Bravery in War", a silver (sterling?) medal that reads "For Gold and Country", and the rare Silesian Eagle medal.
