Description: Cool little Rensie 50's military-style watch which needs some TLC. Yes, the dial is rough. The Arabic numerals more or less blend into the dial. Just a lot of staining and fading, most likely due to exposure to the elements over the past 60+ years. To call it "Patina" would be an insult to patina. This said, the rest of the watch cosmetically has held up very well. The acrylic crystal is very clean, save for a very small nick. I was able to buff out most of it along with the minor scuffing. The SS case, lugs, crown and back all look nice. Less than the usual normal scuffing on a watch of this Era. The 15J Swiss movement appears to be clean; no visible corrosion, dirt or deposits. The winding is smooth, and I can get it to run for a few hours, and sometimes minutes or just seconds. Like many of the watches in my inventory, this one needs a tune-up.
