Made by Suncast Standard patch sizes are 3 x 3 in 6 x 6 in. 5 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches All patches are supplied slightly bigger to allow you room to trim Patch may be cut with hacksaw, snips, or any tool you would normally use to cut thicker plastics Custom sizes are available by request To determine the patch size you need, measure your hole length and width. The patch must cover the hole plus 1 inch every direction from the hole edge. In the example shown in the pictures, we have a 6 1/2 in x 3 1/2 in hole. We used the 5 1/2 in x 9 1/2 inch patch size inside and out. General Patching Guidelines Determining which patch you need - When repairing a small roof hole 1 inch or less, you will only need one patch on the roof top. When repairing a 1 inch up to 3 inch roof hole, you should put one flat patch on the underside first. Then you will use a flat patch on the roof top. So it will take 2 patches to repair these size holes. Basically you're making a sandwich of the hole When repairing a hole larger than 3 inches you need a structural patch on the undersidefirst. Then you will use a flat patch on the roof top. A structural patch has one or more random stiffeners across the backside (roof underside) providing for extra support.
