I believe this is only the third time we have had this title in the pictorial cover edition in about 25 years of selling Childhood of Famous American Books! The inside text appears mostly crisp and clean with some minor soiling and wear. Overall Cloth Pictorial Cover Hardback Book is in Good to Very Good Minus condition. It is rated as Good due to the fact it is an Ex-Public School Book with the only school markings inside the front cover, the first end page, a school stamp at the bottom of page 25, and a minor marker at the bottom of the outside spine. Also on the first title page there are some black pen marks to the title and the "Girl Who Dared" is written in black ink below where that is printed in the book. Also on the "Illustrations and Contents" pages the former owner has written "Illustrations and Contents" in black ink. The Inside text itself is in Very Good Minus condition and appears to have had little use with some minor soiling. Outside pictorial covers show some minor soiling and some heavier wear to the outside corners and edge wear with a small ding to the outside spine.
