Description: The LIFE Of Our LORD by Charles Dickens. These are installments printed in the Minneapolis Journal in 1934. These installments appeared in about 300 newspapers back in March 1934. The newspaper offered this scrapbook to paste the installments into. This occurred before the work was published as a regular book so this scrapbook type version is the true 1st edition of Dickens' work. The clippings were affixed with tape to the pages. Under each printing it states "Copyrighted for North and South America 1934 by United Feature Syndicate Inc. All rights reserved." This is a First Edition scrapbook of Installments. The Life of Our Lord-the actual Minneapolis Journal clippings serialized with illustrations. It was written between 1846 and 1849 expressly for Charles Dickens' children and not published until 85 years later. The binding is soft cover and has some water spotting on the front and back. All articles and words are very legible. Measures 13 x 16 inches. Artist of the drawings is Gustave Dore.
