Description: Vintage 100% Silk Thai Flower Power Funky Tie 5" Wide 1970s Mod Brown Beige Floral Paisley This is a great wild 1970s tie. My family lived in Japan in the early 1970s. My mother traveled and would bring home gifts. This is one of the ties she bought in Thailand for my father. It was pretty groovy for the era. I don't think my father wore it very often, if at all, because he liked more traditional ties. I'm sure he thought this tie would be what he called "too loud"! Wide ties were very trendy, and big flowers and wild paisley patterns were also trendy. My father did not like trendy. My mother, sisters, and I were always trying to get him to be more fashionable, like this tie represented. Anyway, if you're looking for a tie that screams retro, this is it. The colors are very 1970s, as is the style of the wide tie. This is 100% Thai silk. It was most likely handwoven. Please see pictures for details of condition.
