Description: This auction features two vintage portable metal fans from the late 1940s or early 1950s. One is a General Electric fan and the other is a Coronado fan from Gambles. Both fans are in working condition and have an antique finish. The fans are powered by electricity and are original pieces, not replicas. This auction is perfect for collectors of vintage small appliances or those looking for unique home decor pieces. Vintage 1940s 1950s? General Electric & Gambles Coronado Fans - Both Work! The GE one is mounted to a wooden base - guessing to keep it more sturdy, but that was done in the 50s. Could be removed and holes repaired for its original former glory. There is a switch on the side for oscillating but that is untested. There is also a spot weld that came loose on the top of the cage - also easily repairable. Gambles has some rust and missing paint but otherwise in great shape! Has mounting hole on base so it could be mounted on a wall and then positioned with its swivel neck. Both fans work great and only have one speed. They are both dirty and dusty. Came from the old Pontiac Dealership that closed in the 90s in town. GE measures 12" wide by 15" tall from base to top. Gambles measures 12" wide by 13" tall from base to top. Please look over all photos as they are part of the description. Smoke free environment Shipped in a box same day payment is received!
