Red Telephone Rotary Desk Phone Estate sale find! 1960's era Ericofon Cobra rotary telephone in a vibrant Ferrari red, comes with original beige cord and Western Bell plug. Very nice vintage condition with lots of scuffs, marks and surface scratches typical of age and use. The phone has seen plenty of use through the decades and has many more calls left, these phone were built like tanks! We were not able to test this phone as it needs to be re-wired for a modern landline connection so we are listing this phone as-as, for parts or repair only. The dialing mechanism rotates smoothly and sounds great, please see the attached video. There are plenty of resources online to get this phone wired to work with current landline protocols. The tan cable shows lots of wear, scuffs and discoloration with a small tear to the outside housing, the interior multi colored wires seem to be in good shape. Please see the last two photos for a close-up detail of the tear. As we place some of our items with film and television period productions (who value authentic patina, distress and age) we have left this phone in the original, as-found condition. Both the phone and cable could use a thorough cleaning if they are to be used and displayed in the home.
