The markings mean the frame is 12 karat gold-filled. The bridge, frame and arms are all engraved with an ''X'' and diamond pattern.Nice pair of Ful-Vue frames from Bausch and Lomb. Strong bridge, clean nose pads, screws tested and working well. Wire rims are flexible, so lenses can be made to a variety of shapes for this frame. The typical style for this frame is a near-round lens often called a ''P3'' shape = 1-1/4" x 1-3/8".Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. = 5-15/16". Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend will vary based on who wore the frame. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. = 3-1/2".
