This listing is for a vintage Brilhart mouthpiece for Bb soprano clarinet. It is a rare "Nilo W. Hovey" signature model. Nilo Hovey was a well-known clarinetist, conductor, composer, music educator, and authored many music instruction books (including many from the popular Rubank series). This mouthpiece is made of hard rubber, not plastic. It is stamped "B3" on the side, and the tip opening measures 1.2mm (.047"). This mouthpiece is in very good used condition. The tip, table, and rails are perfectly smooth, and original. There is no tooth wear on the beak. There are no significant scratches/scuffs on the exterior. The rubber is faded/discolored, but this does not affect playability in the least. The cork is in excellent condition. This mouthpiece has been cleaned and sanitized.
